Daniel wasn’t always his name, and Huli Jing do not, willingly, leave China.

There is a rule that most, if not all, fox-like creatures are not permitted to break. Huli jing adhere to that same rule: you may not physically kill a human being. One might trick them into death, or drain life, but never are they allowed to outright murder. They are to behave as if they are less than people.

It doesn’t matter if hunters/traders are trying to make some quick money. Self defense or not, it is wrong. Daniel was banished by his father and branded with an ink that only shows when he steps foot in China, labeling him as a criminal.
